WINDHOEK, 15 NOV (NAMPA) - Telecom Namibia’s pre-paid and post-paid code division multiple access (CDMA) subscribers will experience a short interruption to their services while the company’s customer billing system is being upgraded from midnight on Sunday.
A statement issued by Telecom Namibia’s Senior Manager of Corporate and Public Relations, Oiva Angula on Friday said the upgrade will commence at midnight, and end at 03h00 on Monday morning.
CDMA customers will not be able to make calls, send text messages, browse the Internet or recharge the service during this time.
Fixed-line subscribers will, however, not be affected.
Angula furthermore indicated that the upgrade will mean better customer service and experiences for clients through ‘new and more exciting’ offers.
The network of Teleshops will process manual payments on Saturday, and will resume normal operations as from Sunday.
