WINDHOEK, 16 JAN (NAMPA) – The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) has distanced itself from information circulating on social media that the force plans to recruit more than 1 000 cadet constables.
NamPol’s Head of Media Relations, Chief Inspector Kauna Shikwambi said in a media statement issued Tuesday there will be no recruitment in the current financial year (2017/18) and in the next financial year due to budgetary constraints.
“Vacancies will be advertised in various media outlets and will also be published on Nampol’s website should the force embark on a general recruitment exercise,” she said.
Shikwambi urged the public to ignore the information circulating on social media.
