Former minister, Rosalia Nghidinwa dies

RUNDU, 15 JAN (NAMPA) – Former Cabinet Minister Rosalia Nghidinwa died in Windhoek on Sunday.
She died in the Roman Catholic Hospital around 23h00, former councillor of the Kavango West Region’s Kapako Constituency, Frieda Siwombe told Nampa on Monday.
Siwombe, who could not confirm the cause of her death, said Nghidinwa was hospitalised in northern Namibia before being transferred to the Roman Catholic Hospital.
She served as Minister of Labour and Social Welfare from 2000 to 2005 and as Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration from 2005 to 2012.
Nghidinwa was appointed Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare in December 2012, a position she served in until her retirement in 2015.
