Namibia condemns president Trump's remarks on immigrants

The Permanent Secretary with the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi has condemned the remarks made by United States President Donald Trump regarding immigrants including those from Africa.

Ashipala-Musavyi said, “The Namibian Government has learned with disgust and reprehension about the alleged derogatory remarks of President Donald Trump on 11 January 2018, with regard to African countries and immigrants.”

She continued that such language has no place in diplomatic discourse and is contrary to the norms of civility and human progress.
