WINDHOEK, 10 JAN (NAMPA) All of the top 10 overall best performing learners at private schools for the 2017 Grade 12 Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) ordinary level examinations are from St Boniface College.
Muupa Kabanjani and Iyambo Paulus of the well-known school situated in the Kavango East Region, have been announced as the best overall performers at private schools for the ordinary level exams.
The school remains consistent in producing the best academic learners as the top two NSSC overall achievers last year were also from St. Boniface.
Kabanjani, a female learner, obtained 87,6 per cent in six ordinary level subjects while Paulus, a male learner, obtained 86,9 per cent in his six subjects.
Speaking to Nampa after the press conference held on Wednesday for the announcement of the NSSC full-time and part-time results, Kabanjani said she was extremely thrilled by her achievement and never expected it.
She said there was no secret in making it to the top, explaining that it was merely a result of hard work and dedication.
I simply set my targets and worked hard to achieve them.
Kabanjani added that she could not wait to complete her high school and was looking forward to pursue further studies in the medical field at the UNAM School of Medicine.
Paulus, who has always excelled throughout his school career, said he achieved his results by remaining consistent and managing his study time well.
I started early with my revision and exam preparations and this allowed me to have enough time to study, he said, noting that he would be pursuing a qualification in mechanical engineering.
A total number of 35 private schools were registered for the 2017 NSSC ordinary level examinations.
