RUNDU, 04 JAN (NAMPA) - Kavango East Governor, Samuel Mbambo has said the late Rosa Kunyanda Kavara’s experience and dedication will be missed.
Kavara, who was a member of the National Council and Councillor of the Ncuncuni Constituency in the Kavango West Region, died in Windhoek on Tuesday after she had a stroke.
Mbambo said in an interview with Nampa on Thursday the late politician’s experience and dedication will not only be missed by the Kavango West and Kavango East regions, but by the entire Namibia.
“It is not only a loss for her region but for the entire Namibia, as she was a member of the National Council. We have lost someone who could have contributed a lot to our region and the country at large,” he said.
Kavara was born on 22 February 1958. She is survived by her mother, one son, four daughters and grandchildren.
Her family has indicated that she will be buried on 13 January, although they are yet to say where she will be laid to rest.
