Deputy prime minister in stable condition

WINDHOEK, 28 DEC (NAMPA) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is reportedly in a stable condition after surviving a car crash on Thursday between Tsumeb and Oshivelo.
A media statement issued Thursday night by the ministry’s Acting Permanent Secretary, Michael Ndivayele stated that Nandi-Ndaitwah has been admitted to the Mediclinic Private Hospital.
The deputy prime minister’s VIP protection vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a pick-up, during which a life was lost.
The accident occurred around 16h00.
Inspector-General of the Namibian Police, Lieutenant-General Sebastian Ndeitunga confirmed the accident.
