Car missing from Novel Ford in Walvis Bay

WALVIS BAY, 06 DEC (NAMPA) – A vehicle which was parked outside the Novel Ford showroom at Walvis Bay went missing last week.
Namibian Police Force Erongo Region Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu on Wednesday said the vehicle disappeared on 29 November.
He said one of the employees had parked the brand new Ford Ranger double cab outside the showroom on that day.
“It was only noticed on Monday that the vehicle was not in the showroom and has been missing,” said Iikuyu.
The vehicle is valued at over N.dollars 300 000.
No foul play is suspected, the police have no suspect and investigations into the matter and search for the vehicle continue.
In a crime report from Henties Bay, Iikuyu said a 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of cannabis on Tuesday.
The suspect is charged with dealing or the cultivation of cannabis.
“He was found in possession of 10 cannabis plants in flower pots as well as five small bags containing 86 seeds of cannabis at his residence.”
The value of the drugs is still to be determined.
The suspect is expected appear in the Swakopmund Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
