The African Union commission has moved into Libya to begin investigations on media reports of slave trade in that country, international relations and cooperation minister, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has exclusively revealed to this publication.

Reports of the trade in African migrants bound for Europe en-route Libya went viral a few days ago after a damning CNN under-cover report produced images of men on a slave market.

Unverified images of men bound in ropes with some crowded at gun point have also started to flood social media.
