Rukoro happy over N$ 10 million from NSC

WINDHOEK, 30 NOV (NAMPA) – Namibia Football Association (NFA) Secretary-General, Barry Rukoro was excited about the N.dollars 10 million the association received from the Namibia Sports Commission (NSC) here on Thursday.
Speaking at the handing-over ceremony of the funds, Rukoro said he was positive that it will help the association achieve its set targets.
“The money will be used for the intended purpose and we are positive that it will boost the performance of all our teams,” he said.
Rukoro said the money will be used towards the preparation of various national teams, singling out the Under-20 Council of Southern Africa Football Associations Cup in Zambia in December, and the African Nations Championship to be held in Morocco in January and February.
He thanked Government for its efforts in maintaining and promoting football in Namibia, and the NSC for the great relationship which has enhanced football in Namibia.
“Let us continue holding hands and build sports in Namibia,” Rukoro said.
Meanwhile, the Namibia National Olympic Committee and Namibia Hockey Union also received funding of N.dollars 4 million and N.dollars 900 000, respectively.
