Police have opened investigations into the possible sources from which criminals procure police uniforms for bogus policing, deputy chief of police Marie Nainda has said.

This comes in the background of a woman in Otjomuise having been busted for faking as a police officer in uniform which has left tongues wagging.

Uniforms worn by persons impersonating police offices are original and there are suspicions that they are supplied to criminals by retired police officers, Nainda told The Villager.
