Woman robbed in Windhoek

WINDHOEK, 01 NOV (NAMPA) - A 28-year-old woman was allegedly robbed of N.dollars 19 500 in Windhoek’s Havana informal settlement on Monday.
The daily crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force on Wednesday said the woman was held at gunpoint in her home by two unknown men at around 12h00.
She was robbed of N.dollars 19 500 in cash, five pairs of sneakers valued at N.dollars 2 800, a pair of boots valued at N.dollars 800 and a cellphone worth N.dollars 250.
None of the stolen items have been recovered yet and police investigations continue.
The police also reported that a girl aged 14 months drowned at a house at the Ndama residential area in Rundu on Monday.
The crime report said Muleka Elina Namupasita drowned in a pool of water that accumulated outside from the shower at the house.
Her body was found around 18h45 by her mother.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
