Six-year-old girl raped at Rehoboth

WINDHOEK, 30 OCT (NAMPA) – A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 30-year-old man at Rehoboth on Saturday.
A crime report issued by the Namibia Police Force on Monday said the incident happened at Sonderwater settlement in the Block E residential area between 17h00 and 18h00.
It is alleged that the suspect called the victim from where she was playing with others, and raped her in his room.
The suspect was arrested and investigations continue.
In another incident, a 12-year-old girl believed to me mentally challenged was allegedly raped by an 18-year-old man at around 13h00 on Friday at the Okalili village in the Okahao Constituency of the Omusati Region.
It is alleged the suspect, who is originally from Angola and is employed as a domestic worker at the village, attacked and grabbed the victim on her way to a cuca shop.
He allegedly dragged her to a nearby building where he undressed her and engaged in sexual intercourse with her without her consent.
The victim’s mother reported the incident to the police and the suspect was arrested. Investigations continue.
