The Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund yesterday dashed all hopes that the government will be able to pay fees for students before the end of the year.

This revelation came a few hours after some students had threatened to shut down the NSFAF's offices in Windhoek.

The NSFAF chief executive officer Hilya Nghiwete said in a statement that in April they asked for N$346, 107,046 but got N$70 million.
