Two men arrested with live pangolin: NamPol

WINDHOEK, 18 OCT (NAMPA) - Two men were arrested with a live pangolin in their possession at Windhoek’s China Town shopping complex on Tuesday.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson, Inspector Pendukeni Haikali said in a crime report availed to Nampa on Wednesday the two men were arrested by NamPol’s Protected Wildlife Resources Unit at around 15h30.
The suspects, aged 35 and 42, were arrested during a routine police crime prevention operation.
The value of the live pangolin is N.dollars 50 000.
They are expected to appear before the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court along Lüderitz Street during the course of this week.
