New offices inaugurated at Monica Geingos JSS

OTJIWARONGO, 13 OCT (NAMPA) - First Lady Monica Geingos on Thursday officially handed over two newly constructed teachers’ offices at a school named after her at Otjiwarongo.
The inauguration and handing over took place shortly after the Monica Geingos Junior Secondary School (JSS) held its second annual awards ceremony.
Geingos said Swakop Uranium donated the building materials and paid for the installation of air conditioners in the offices.
Swakop Uranium is a uranium mining company in the Erongo Region.
“They also donated six new laptops to the school through my office,” she said.
Geingos in addition handed over 50 new history and accounting textbooks donated by Zebra Publishers.
She said her office approached the two companies with requests for help.
Principal of Monica Geingos JSS, Andreas /Howoseb thanked the First Lady and the two companies for their support.
The school is located in the Tsaraxa-Aibes informal settlement and offers Grade 8 to 10. It has approximately 500 learners and 17 staff members.
