Student dies in motorbike accident in Windhoek

WINDHOEK, 08 OCT (NAMPA) - A student of the International Training College Lingua in Windhoek died in an accident in the Academia residential area over the weekend.
The Namibian Police Force’s daily crime report availed to Nampa on Sunday said the 21-year-old Deniseth Saviemba died on the spot when he allegedly lost control over his motorbike on Saturday.
He drove into a street light at around 16h50 in Jasper Street.
The deceased's next of kin have been informed.
In an unrelated matter, a South Korean national was involved in an accident Sunday morning at about 05h45 on the D0872 Road, some 15 kilometres from Sesriem in the //Kharas Region.
It is reported that the South Korean national (name not given) was driving from Sesriem to Sossusvlei when he lost control of his rented vehicle on a curve, causing the vehicle to overturn.
All three people in the vehicle, all of whom are from South Korea, sustained slight injuries.
Police investigations continue.
