Most of the female chief executive officers have lost their jobs a few years after appointment.
There was the former Air Namibia boss Theo Namases and former TransNamib chief executive Sara Naanda Katiti.
Both were unceremoniously kicked out of their jobs, while another female boss, NSFAF Hilya Nghiwete is holding onto her job by a thread.
When Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila became the Prime Minister, she told a Women's Day celebration event that Namibian women were still battling to get top jobs, with only 42% filling up such positions.
