70% of the population depends on agriculture

Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry John Mutorwa this week said that 70% of Namibians, directly and indirectly, depend on agriculture for sustenance, income and livelihood.

At the national level, the agriculture sector has been singled out as one of the priority sectors which should be harnessed to bring about much need socio-economic development and improvement to the well-being of the majority of the Namibian people, Mutorwa has said.
