Geingob pays visit to Muharukua home

WINDHOEK, 01 OCT (NAMPA) - President Hage Geingob and Vice-President, Nickey Iyambo visited the house of the late Governor of Kunene Region, Angelika Muharukua in the city on Sunday to deliver their personal condolences to the family.
The President was accompanied by Swapo Party Secretary-General, Nangolo Mbumba, the Deputy and Governor of the Khomas Region, Laura McLeod-Katjirua as well as First Lady, Monica Geingos.
Muharukua died early Sunday morning in a Windhoek Hospital where she was admitted for medical attention after she suffered a suspected heart attack.
She served as Governor of the Kunene Region since 2015.
Before then, Muharukua was Deputy Minister of the Women and Child Welfare Ministry.
