Suspect pours boiled water on 07-year-old girl

WINDHOEK, 29 SEP (NAMPA) - An 18-year-old man died on Friday after being hit by a bottle on the head along Lobito Street in the 7de Laan settlement of Windhoek.
The daily crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) on Friday said the deceased died on the scene after a 43-year-old suspect threw a bottle at him, striking him on the head and causing his death at around 00h35.
It was reported that the two were involved in an argument which may have led to the fight.
The deceased has been identified as Ernesto Hauseb. His next of kin have been informed.
In a separate incident at Farm Kareeboom in the Aranos District of the Hardap Region, the body of a 22-year-old woman was found with multiple bruises on Thursday between 12h30 and 13h00.
It is alleged that she was assaulted and subsequently killed by her 29-year-old boyfriend, who has since been arrested.
The deceased has been identified as Juliana Jass.
NamPol in the Kavango West Region is investigating a case in which a 07-year-old girl sustained serious injuries on her face and back after someone poured hot water on her in Nkurenkuru on Thursday.
The suspect who is known to police is still at large.
Meanwhile, the woman who died after being run over by a vehicle on the A1 road on Thursday morning, has been identified as Sara Kwethi Sylvanus.
Sylvanus was trying to cross the road with few other women when she was hit at around 06h30. She died on the spot.
NamPol provided her age as 40 and not 30 as previously stated by the City Police.
