Sacky obtained his B.Iuris and LL. B degrees from the University of Namibia (UNAM) in 1998 and 2000 respectively and has qualified for admission as a legal practitioner in Namibia.
He has on principle not joined the Law Society of Namibia (LSN) until he is comfortable with its role in the reform of the profession, and as such, has not filed an application in the High Court for Admission as a legal practitioner.
Sacky has worked for the Centre of Applied Social Studies (CASS) of the Law Faculty of the University of Namibia, the Namibia Non-Governmental Organizational Forum (NANGOF) and for the first Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, Dr. Hage G. Geingob as chief of staff during the period 1999 – 2001.
After that, he worked in the Office of the Attorney-General until he was appointed by the President of the Republic of Namibia to the position of Chairperson of the Law Reform and Development Commission on November 9, 2010 – March 20, 2015 in a full time capacity.
He was appointed by President Hage G. Geingob as Attorney-General on March 27, 2015.

Once a member of the Windhoek West District Executive Committee, he also served on the Presidential Commission of Inquiry.
He has been a director on a number of boards including Hanganeni Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, Ububele Holdings Namibia (Pty) Ltd, Ububele Alpine (Pty) Ltd et al.
He relinquished these board of director positions after his appointment as Chairperson of the Law Reform and Development Commission (LRDC).
