KEETMANSHOOP, 11 SEP (NAMPA) – A find of 1.1 kilogrammes of 'skunk' cannabis worth N.dollars 12 400 on Monday led to the arrest of a 27-year-old man at Rosh Pinah.
“The suspect was found in possession of the drug at his residence,” said Namibian Police //Kharas Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo.
He told Nampa Monday the dependence-producing substance was discovered hidden in an electricity box inside the home.
Skunk is a more potent form of cannabis.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Rosh Pinah Periodical Court on Wednesday.
Periodical courts are held in smaller towns that do not have magistrate’s courts and are heard by a designated magistrate from that district.
These hearings are normally held in a courtroom at a police station.
