OTJIWARONGO, 09 SEP (NAMPA) - The Otjozondjupa police have asked for assistance in tracing a 35-year-old man who has been missing since 28 August at Otjiwarongo.
The Namibian Police Force’s Otjozondjupa regional spokesperson, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha in an interview with Nampa on Saturday said Ignatius Ngatuuane Hitji Katjinamunene went missing after he argued with his cousin about two weeks ago.
Katjinamunene is also known as ‘Kaskas.’
She said he was reported missing at the Otjiwarongo Police Station last Sunday.
He was apparently angry when he was last seen by his cousin on Farm Okozongominja near the Otjiwarongo-Osire road.
Mbeha said an extensive search by the police and his relatives was conducted in the area but it did not turn up anything.
“It is on these grounds that the Otjozondjupa police is now requesting assistance from the general public in tracing his whereabouts,” she said.
Anyone who might have seen Katjinamunene or who knows his whereabouts can contact his father, Robert Hitji, at 0814338042.
Alternatively, they can contact the Otjiwarongo Police Station.
