Two men commit suicide in Kavango regions

NDIYONA, 31 OCT (NAMPA) - Two men allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves at separate places in the two Kavango regions between Monday and Wednesday this week.
The first incident occurred at Nkwizu village, some 120 kilometres west of Rundu in the Kavango West Region, where a 26-year-old man hanged himself with a wire on a tree on Monday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Vaino Nekome, a resident of the Nkwizu village.
His next-of-kin have been informed, and the police opened an inquest docket into the incident.
The second person ended his own life by hanging himself with a rope in his sleeping hut at the Karukuta village, situated 90 kilometres east of Rundu in the Kavango East Region’s Ndiyona Constituency on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as 29-year-old Ntjinano Shangara, a resident of that village.
According to the Namibian Police report, no foul play is suspected.
The deceased persons’ next-of-kin have also been informed.
