Angolan security guard murdered at Oshikango

ONGWEDIVA, 01 SEP (NAMPA) – An Angolan security guard was killed by an unknown suspect at a business complex at Oshikango in the Ohangwena Region on Saturday.
Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the region, Sergeant Abner Kaume Iitumba confirmed the incident to Nampa on Friday.
The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Daniel Jacinto Paulo.
Iitumba said Paulo was found in a dam with his throat slit and a stab wound on the left side of the chest.
“We are appealing to members of the public to assist the police with information that would lead to the arrest of the culprit,” Iitumba urged.
He also said a case of capable homicide was opened after two persons died in a road crash near the Okakwa village on the Ondangwa-Oshikango B1 Road on Thursday at about 11h00.
The two were travelling in a sedan from Ondangwa towards Oshikango when their car collided head-on with a truck.
Iitumba named the deceased driver as 57-year-old Shikenge Natanael and his 46-year-old passenger, Frans Matheus.
Nataneal died on the scene and Matheus died at the Engela District Hospital.
Their next of kin were informed of their deaths.
The driver of the overturned truck, Prinsloo Joachim, 63, escaped with minor injuries while his passenger, Mandume Willem, 48, sustained serious injuries.
Six other people also died in two separate road crashes on Monday and Tuesday. The first accident on the Epembe-Oushake gravel road claimed four lives and the second accident killed two persons on the Onandjokwe-Eenhana road.
