Police name deceased in Omahenge village accident

ONGWEDIVA, 30 AUG (NAMPA) – Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in Ohangwena Region released the identities of the two people killed in the road accident on the Eenhana-Onandjokwe road near Omahenge village in the region on Tuesday.
The two died instantly after their Toyota pick-up collided head-on with another oncoming Toyota pick-up at about 10h00.
Sergeant Abner Kaume Iitumba of NamPol's Public Relations unit in the region on Wednesday identified the deceased persons as David William, 42, and 59-year-old Iindongo Amakali.
William was the driver of their vehicle while Amakali, a Police officer, was the passenger. Their next of kin are informed.
Efraim Hamaambo, 43, was the driver of the second vehicle and was travelling with his four passengers identified as Eli Hamaambo, Ndahambelela Grace Hamaambo, Johanna Hamaambo and Jeremia Hangula.
They sustained injuries and were rushed to the Eenhana Hospital for medical intervention.
