WALVIS BAY, 29 AUG (NAMPA) - A 41-year-old man from Usakos was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend on Monday.
A police incident report issued by the Namibian Police Force’s Crime Investigations Coordinator for the Erongo Region, Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu on Tuesday said Shalulu Nghialwa was stabbed once in the chest with a stainless steel knife.
The 32-year-old suspect reportedly stabbed Nghialwa around 19h00 during an argument in their shack in the Omugulugwombashe informal settlement of the Hakhaseb settlement.
He died on the spot and the suspect, who had fled the scene, was arrested shortly thereafter and charged with murder.
Iikuyu said despite the fact that the man was stabbed, a post-mortem will be done to determine the actual cause of death.
Nghialwa’s next of kin were informed and the suspect is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
