Hanse brothers die in road accident

KEETMANSHOOP, 31 JUL (NAMPA) – Two brothers died in a car accident on a gravel road just outside Helmeringhausen on Saturday.
The deceased men were identified as Manfred Hanse, 35, and Roedolf Hanse, 55, by Namibian Police //Kharas Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo on Monday.
The spokesperson said the siblings died on the spot after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned.
The accident happened around 17h00, some 500 metres from Helmeringhausen on the road to Maltahöhe.
Another injured passenger, Herman Aoseb, 31, died on the way to the Keetmanshoop State Hospital, while the last passenger, Anna Kuwinga, 23, survived the accident.
Meanwhile at Bethanie on the same day at around the same time, 38-year-old Paul Piete died after he was stabbed in the chest with a sharp object.
The suspect in the case was apprehended by police on Sunday after fleeing the scene at the time of the incident.
At Westerkim in Karasburg, a 27-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her ex-boyfriend in the early morning hours of Saturday.
Mubebo said the victim was dragged from her house to a nearby shack, where the suspect had intercourse with her against her will.
The suspect is arrested and investigations into the various incidences continue.
