Kavango East netball league in full swing

RUNDU, 28 JUL (NAMPA) – The netball league in the Kavango East Region is in full swing, with tough matches played every weekend since it started this month.
Chairperson of the Kavango East Netball Association, Nica Mudumbi told Nampa recently the regional league has become competitive and teams are hard at work, training week in and week out.
Mudumbi said teams are showing how keen they are to compete at a higher level.
Currently, Afrocat is leading with eight points from all four games the team has played so far, followed by Shining Stars who are behind on a goal difference. Both teams have a game on hand.
Rundu Chiefs are in third place with six points from all four matches played so far, also with a game on hand.
United Stars also have six points and are ranked behind Rundu Chiefs on a goal difference. In fifth place is Cuca Tops, also with six points from all five of the matches played thus far.
Safety Netball team is in sixth position with two games in hand, followed by Julinho Sporting with two points, also just behind Safety Netball on a goal difference.
In second-last position is the University of Namibia Rundu Campus netball team with two points, while Rhino netball team occupies the last spot as they lost all five of the matches played so far.
