WINDHOEK, 23 JUL (NAMPA) – Brave Warriors Coach, Ricardo Mannetti has named the starting 11 for the second leg of the African Nations Championship (Chan) second leg match at the National Sports Stadium in Harare on Sunday.
Kick-off is 14h00 Namibian time.
Speaking to Nampa on Sunday morning from Harare via WhatsApp, Mannetti said Loydt Kazapua will be in the goalpost, while the defence will consist of Tiberius Lombard, Ferdinand Karongee, Riaan Hanamub and Larry Horaeb.
Captain Ronald Katjijere has recovered to take his place in the team’s midfield together with Petrus Shitembi, who also recovered from an injury.
Dynamo Fredericks and Benyamin Nenkavu complete the midfield quartet.
Itamunua Keimuine and Hendrick Somaeb will lead the attack for Namibia, with the coach saying he hopes to unsettle Zimbabwe by scoring first.
“If we score first, then they will open up as they try to chase the game. That will allow us to score two or even three more goals and kill the match off,” he added.
Namibia beat Zimbabwe one goal to nil in the first leg on Sunday 16 July at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.
Namibia needs at least a draw to qualify for the next round where they will meet either Lesotho or the Comoros in the next round.
The fifth edition of Chan will run from 11 January to 02 February, 2018 in Kenya.
