Six Stars and Otjozondjupa NamPol are champions of De Nangolo tourney

ONDANGWA, 13 JUN (NAMPA) – Six Stars and the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Otjozondjupa are the winners of the De Nangolo Enterprises Volleyball Championship held here over the weekend.
Ondangwa-based Six Stars defeated !Nakapele 2-0 in the final of the men’s category, while Otjozondjupa NamPol handed Six Stars (women) a 2-0 defeat in the final of the women’s matches.
The tournament started on Saturday and ended with the finals on Sunday.
As winners, Six Stars and Otjozondjupa NamPol scooped N.dollars 1 500, a trophy and gold medals in their respective categories.
The runners-up: !Nakapele (men) and Six Stars (women) each received N.dollars 1 000 and silver medals.
Otjozondjupa NamPol (men) and Oshana NamPol (women) received N.dollars 500 and bronze medals as third-placed teams.
Ondangwa businessman and former player of Six Stars Volleyball Club, Kenneth Nangolo sponsored the trophies and medals for the championship.
The Far Northern Volleyball Association (FNVA) raised the funds for the cash prizes.
The association’s marketing commissioner, Tinaye Hercules told Nampa on Monday the championship was about volleyball development and to bring the affiliates of FNVA together.
Six Stars, Otjozondjupa NamPol, !Nakapele, MediPark and Oshana NamPol are the clubs that took part in the tournament.
