Accident near Kamanjab claims one life

WINDHOEK, 21 MAY (NAMPA) – A 32-year-old man died in an accident on the Kamanjab-Fransfontein road Friday night.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s crime investigations coordinator in Kunene, Deputy Commissioner Rudolf Kanyetu told Nampa the accident occurred at around 22h00.
He said the driver lost control of the vehicle after hitting a bridge about 40 kilometres outside Kamanjab.
The man who died on the scene was identified as Michael Kandi. His next of kin have been informed.
Three of the passengers and the 43-year-old driver sustained minor injuries, while a four-year-old girl escaped the accident without any injuries.
A case of culpable homicide will be opened against the driver.
