ONGWEDIVA, 06 MAY (NAMPA) – An 18-year-old boy accused of sodomising a minor made his first appearance in the Ondangwa Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Oshikoto Region Crime Investigations Coordinator, Chief Inspector Edna Nawa on Friday said the incident occurred on Thursday at around 07h00.
The accused reportedly asked the 14-year-old boy, who is his neighbour, to unlock his bedroom before threatening him with a knife and forcing him inside the room.
“The victim managed to run away at first, but the accused caught up with him and hit him with a tree branch,” Nawa stated.
The accused, who is a cattle herder, forced the victim into the room again and sodomised him.
The minor informed relatives about the incident and the police were notified. They arrested the accused on the same day.
