Murder over the weekend

WINDHOEK, 02 MAY (NAMPA) – A 24-year-old man died on the spot after he was allegedly stabbed with a knife once in the neck at a shebeen in Tseiblaagte, Keetmanshop on Saturday.
A weekend crime report issued on Tuesday by Namibian Police Force Head of Public Relations Division, Chief Inspector Kauna Shikwambi said the incident happened at about 01h15 when Ricardo Thomas and the suspect were allegedly drinking together.
The deceased’s next of kin have been informed. A 25-year-old suspect was arrested and police investigation continues.
Also in the ||Kharas Region, a 29-year-old man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly shot a 24-year-old man with a nine millimetres Pietro pistol on the left cheek at a club in Keetmanshoop around 01h30.
The victim was rushed to the Keetmanshoop State Hospital and later transferred to Windhoek for further medical treatment.
The firearm is licensed and was confiscated for police investigations.
Meanwhile in Windhoek, a 28-year-old man died Saturday after he was allegedly stabbed in the chest with a knife at a bar in Ombili informal settlement.
The incident in the Katutura neighbourhood allegedly occurred around 21h00 when a quarrel erupted while the deceased was gambling and drinking with friends. Details of the fight are sketchy at the moment.
The deceased allegedly went outside the bar, where his friends later found him lying in a pool of blood. He was then rushed to the Katutura State Hospital where he died.
A 44-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with the murder and police investigations continue.
