CORRECTION: REPLACE “criminals” WITH “suspects” IN FIFTH PARA.

ONGWEDIVA, 01 APR (NAMPA) – Five 'dangerous' suspects reportedly escaped from the Oshakati Police holding cells in the early morning hours of Saturday.
Namibian Police Force Spokesperson in the Oshana Region, Warrant Thomas Aiyambo confirmed the breakout to Nampa on Saturday.
According to Aiyambo, it is not clear what time the accused escaped from the holding cells, however the escape was discovered in the morning.
“These criminals are dangerous and are facing serious charges ranging from murder, rape and robbery,” Aiyambo warned.
The police is therefore requesting the nation’s assistance in tracing down the suspects.
“They might have likely run into Omusati and Ohangwena regions especially towards the boarders of Oshikango,” he said.
Aiyambo asked the public who might come across these escapees not to try and apprehend them but inform the police in Ondangwa, Oshakati and Ongwediva.
The escapees are Arsandri Wendelinus (rape), Theodor Sebedeus (murder), Lucas Simeon (murder and rape), Johaness Haihambo (robbery and assault) and Iipinge “Tupac” Gustav (murder).
