Police seek public assistance in identifying deceased woman

OTJIWARONGO, 30 MAR (NAMPA) - The Otjozondupa police Thursday called on the general public to assist them with identifying a woman who was hit by a car on the road between Okahandja and Windhoek.
Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha told Nampa the deceased was wearing a green dress, blue jacket and palms shoes.
Mbeha said the woman was Wednesday afternoon crossing the busy road when she was hit around 14h20.
“I therefore, call on members of the general public, mostly those residing in farms situated between Windhoek and Okahandja, and who are missing a woman to contact us or Okahandja Police Station,” said Mbeha.
She said the accident occurred about 25 kilometres south of Okahandja.
A culpable homicide docket has been opened at the Okahandja Police Station.
Police investigations continue.
