Woman dies in crocodile attack

WINDHOEK, 26 MAR (NAMPA) - A 27-year-old woman was attacked by a crocodile at Divundu on Thursday.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson, Warrant Officer Lazarus Immanuel said during a media briefing on Sunday the incident occurred at around 16h30.
Maghoma Romono was busy washing her clothes on the banks of the Kavango River when she was attacked by the crocodile. The police have been searching for her body since, but it has not yet been retrieved.
Romono’s next of kin have been informed.
Immanuel also reported that the 10-year-old Jesmia Goliath drowned in the Naute Dam, situated some 52 kilometres from Keetmanshoop, on Wednesday at around 12h00.
It is alleged that the deceased had gone swimming with friends.
His body was retrieved and his next of kin have been informed.
