Driver dies in accident near Grootfontein

OTJIWARONGO, 26 MAR (NAMPA) - A 31-year-old man died instantly after the sedan he was driving rolled several times on the Grootfontein-Tsumeb road Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as George Dibasen Hoaeb.
Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha on Sunday said Hoaeb was driving a Toyota sedan, with two other people in the vehicle at the time of accident.
At around 19h00, approximately 30 kilometres west of Grootfontein, Hoaeb allegedly lost control of the vehicle and it rolled several times.
The driver succumbed to his injuries on the spot, said Mbeha, adding that the two passengers aged 31 and 33 sustained serious injuries.
They were taken to the Grootfontein State Hospital where they are recovering.
Hoaebs next of kin have been informed of his death.
