ONDANGWA, 24 MAR (NAMPA) – A 39-year-old man on Thursday allegedly stabbed his younger brother at the Okaandi village in the Onesi Constituency and handed himself over to police the following day.
Namibian Police Force Spokesperson in the Omusati Region, Lineekela Shikongo confirmed the incident to Nampa on Friday, saying the elder brother arrived home late and engaged in a quarrel with their mother over unconfirmed issues.
The younger brother then intervened.
“Another argument then erupted between the brothers, leading the suspect to pull out a knife and stab his younger brother to death,” said Shikongo.
The older brother then fled the scene but handed himself over to the Tsandi Police Station on Friday morning.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Okahao Magistrate’s Court next week.
