Man writes apology note before committing suicide

OSHAKATI, 02 MAR (NAMPA) - An 84-year-old man who committed suicide by hanging himself at Oikokola village in the Oshikoto Region left a note apologising to his family.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Crime Investigations Coordinator for the region, Naomi Katjiua said in the daily crime report on Wednesday the deceased has been identified as Gideon Iyambo Shipena.
According to Katjiua, the note addressed to the deceased’s wife and children said he was sorry, but tired of the pain in his legs and arms, as well as the kidney disease he was suffering from.
The incident occurred at around 11h30 on Wednesday.
His wife allegedly discovered the body of the deceased hanging from a wire in the toilet.
