WINDHOEK, 25 FEB (NAMPA) - First Lady Monica Geingos has encouraged Grade Eight learners countrywide to stay focused on school and to not allow the complexity of teenage life to distract them from what is important.
She said this when she launched the ‘Stay in School’ initiative in the capital on Friday.
“We are tempted to believe our lives are more complicated than others and that we have suffered more, but the truth is everybody is dealing with something that they don’t discuss with others. Learn to deal with complexity,” Geingos said.
‘Stay in School’ is a campaign under the First Lady’s One Economy Foundation that aims to motivate Grade 8 learners and encourage them to focus on their studies.
The initiative is carried out in partnership with St Boniface College, Windhoek Gymnasium Private School and Windhoek High School.
