Otjozondjupa governor's advisor survives road accident

OTJIWARONGO, 21 FEB (NAMPA) - Moses Tjipurua !Omeb. the special advisor to the Otjozondjupa regional governor, on Tuesday survived a road accident after a government vehicle he was traveling in overturned on the Tsumkwe road.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Detective Chief Inspector in the region, Naukalemo Andreas said !Omeb was travelling with Chief Control Administrator, Betty Shitaatala.
“They both did not sustain any injuries,” said Andreas.
Andreas noted that the accident occurred some 5 kilometres towards Tsumkwe at about 10h00 on Tuesday morning along the Grootfontein-Tsumkwe road.
She said the pick-up is allocated to the office of the Otjozondjupa Regional Governor, Otto Ipinge.
Andreas attributed the accident to the slippery gravel road between Grootfontein and Tsumkwe.
The personal assistant to Ipinge, Sonia Iyambo, in an interview with this agency on Tuesday said !Omeb and Shitaatala were on an official trip in the Tsumkwe Constituency.
Police investigations in the matter continue.
