Body recovered from Okavango River

RUNDU, 21 FEB (NAMPA) – The body of a 43-year-old man who drowned was recovered from the Okavango River at Shaghaya village on Sunday.
The village is situated in the Kavango East Region’s Ndiyona Constituency.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Kavango East Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Willie Bampton told Nampa on Tuesday the deceased, Josef Kafuro, went missing last Wednesday.
Bampton said Kafuro went fishing and did not return to his home.
Family members on Sunday went looking for him and found his body in the river.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
