Hardap ready for Debmarine Cup

MARIENTAL, 10 FEB (NAMPA) – The Hardap Region Football Association (HARFA) on Wednesday held the draw for the Debmarine Namibia Cup at the Mariental Youth Centre.
Thirteen teams are affiliated to the association for the 2017/2018 season.
The Namibia Football Association (NFA) signed a three-year sponsorship deal worth N.dollars 14.1 million with DebMarine Namibia in December last year that will see the NFA Cup make a comeback after being absent since 2015.
The DebMarine Namibia Cup will start on 18 February with the knock-out rounds in the first and second divisions before the last 32 teams, including the 16 Namibia Premier League (NPL) teams, battle it out for further progression.
The draw for the Debmarine Cup in HARFA saw Flying Eagles from Mariental drawn against Maltahöhe’s White Cosmos in the first game.
Spiders from Rehoboth will face the Hardap Correctional Facility, while rookies Untouchables who acquired erstwhile Southern Stream First Division (SSFD) campaigners Hardap Boys, will face Black Marroko Chiefs from Mariental.
HARFA returnees, Latinos FC from Rehoboth, will face Namibian Police Force (NamPol), while in another exciting fixture former NPL team, Friends FC from Rehoboth, take on defending champions of HARFA Reho Madrid from Rehoboth.
The quarterfinal will kick-off with Bee Bob Brothers from Mariental locking horns with Daweb Stars from Maltahöhe while FC Gibeon got a bye and will face the winner between Eagles and Cosmos.

The times and venue of the matches will be announced in due course.
The league was established in 2000 and was won by Reho Madrid from Rehoboth last season (2016/2017)
