Bonny Haufiku now representing Namibia in Estonia

WINDHOEK, 07 FEB (NAMPA) - Namibian diplomat Bonny Haufiku was accredited and commissioned as Namibian Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia with residence in Helsinki, Finland on Tuesday last week.
This was confirmed by the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation in a media statement on Monday.
Haufiku, who is the first designate ambassador to Finland, presented his letter of credentials to the President of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid in Tallinn last week.
Kaljulaid and Haufiku agreed to work towards strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Estonian government is currently helping Namibia with ongoing digitalisation projects.
Haufiku indicated that he intends to expand this project, and look into a number of areas that include training of skilled personnel especially in science, technology, medicine, engineering and agriculture.
Focus will also be given on areas which will stimulate economic cooperation and trade and investment between the two countries.
