Woman killed by crocodile in Kavango East

RUNDU, 07 FEB (NAMPA) – The body of a 25-year-old woman was recovered on Monday after she was killed by a crocodile earlier the same day at the Dihokohoko village of the Mukwe Constituency.
She has been identified as Felistas Matumbo Mukugha.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Kavango East Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Willie Bampton told Nampa on Tuesday the incident took place between 07h00 and 08h00.
He explained that the deceased went to fetch water from the Okavango River when she was attacked by the reptile.
Mukugha's body was found later the same day by the police but some body parts were missing.
Her next of kin have been informed and police investigations into the matter continue.
