Steyn murder accused remanded in custody

REHOBOTH, 17 JAN (NAMPA) - The suspect in the murder of a young woman found dead at a Rehoboth construction site in November, made his fourth appearance in the Rehoboth Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Eldrin Goliath, 20, appeared before Magistrate Andre Matulitch on charges of murder and robbery when his case was postponed to 07 February for further investigations.
The case is on the roll for incomplete investigations, outstanding post-mortem and lab results, and statements from three witnesses still have to be obtained.
Camila Gabriela Steyn, 17, was murdered between 01h00 and 05h00 on 06 November 2016 in the Block B residential area. She was found inside a building under construction.
Steyn had scratch marks on her face and neck, and the suspicion is that she was strangled to death.
Lawyer Nhinda Ndaudika represented Goliath in court on Tuesday. He remains in custody.
Prosecutor Leonard Mateus appeared for the State.
