Body of woman attacked by crocodile found

RUNDU, 11 JAN (NAMPA) – The body of a 28-year-old woman attacked by a crocodile in the Mukwe Constituency on Monday was recovered the following day.
The deceased, Cellestine Ndjamba, had gone to fetch water from the Okavango River at Kapako village around 18h00 when the crocodile attacked her.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator for Kavango East, Deputy Commissioner Willie Bampton told Nampa on Wednesday her body was recovered by the police at Dyapannga village, also in the Mukwe Constituency, on Tuesday.
They had been searching since Monday.
Bampton said her ribs were visible and bite marks were on her left arm.
