NDF employee dies in car accident

GOBABIS, 09 JAN (NAMPA) – A Namibian Defence Force (NDF) employee was on Sunday killed and three others injured when a sedan vehicle overturned some 35 kilometres west of Witvlei on the Gobabis-Windhoek road.
The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Claudia Nakale, while those injured were identified as Jansen Nanguwo, 29; Joseph Haufiku, 41, and the 23-year-old Joseph Johannes.
It is suspected that the driver of the vehicle, the 29-year-old Immanuel Andreas who escaped the accident without any injuries, lost control of the car after a rear tyre burst.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Marcellus Maritshane told Nampa on Monday all three injured passengers have been admitted to the Gobabis District Hospital.
He said they are in a stable condition.
